BUILDING HEALTHY FAMILIES: Mark Twain once said, “Wrinkles should merely indicate where smiles have been.” Yet, growing old in our culture is seen as something to be avoided. People spend millions of dollars trying to look and feel younger than their years. Yet we know that, in Christ, our value is not found in how we look or in what we can do. We are valuable, just as we are, because Jesus says we are! He demonstrated this by giving His life as a ransom for ours. Does that make us valuable? You bet! Honor the older members of your family this week with a visit, telephone call or card. Let them know how much you value them, just as they are.

A “LIFE QUOTE” FROM LUTHERANS FOR LIFE – “When you experience spiritual depressions, the answer is clear: Put your hope in God. Be faithful in getting to worship. Open your Bible daily and you will find many answers for your questions. Pray a lot. Attend the Lord’s Supper and feel His divine presence. Gather with your Christian friends and you will see what a gift Jesus Christ has given you in His Church.” Rev. Steven Kramer, speaker on the “Christian Crusaders” radio program
